Quality Process

ISO 9001 Isn't a Badge.
It's How We Work.

Every order at Factorem runs through a documented quality system — specification verification, standardized inspection, and full traceability — not just on first articles, but on every production batch.

Supplier Standards

Quality starts before manufacturing does.

Every supplier in our network is assessed and continuously monitored — not just onboarded and forgotten.

Certification Requirements

Suppliers are assessed on ISO 9001 certification as a baseline. AS9100-capable suppliers are designated for defense and aerospace orders requiring that standard.

Facility & Equipment Evaluation

We evaluate manufacturing facilities and equipment capabilities before matching a supplier to your order — ensuring the right process and precision capability for your specific requirements.

Continuous Performance Monitoring

Supplier performance is tracked on every order — not just at onboarding. Customer feedback directly impacts supplier standing in our network, creating accountability on every batch.

On Every Order

Five layers of quality assurance.

Applied systematically — from your first upload to the parts arriving at your door.

01

Specification Verification & DFM

Your design is reviewed against your specifications before production begins. AI flags tolerance conflicts and DFM issues — impossible geometries, thin walls, deep pockets — before an engineer confirms the order is ready to manufacture.

Standardized Protocols

Uniform quality checks are applied across all network partners. Every order is manufactured to ISO 2768 tolerances and GD&T principles — ensuring consistent results regardless of which supplier executes the work.

02
03

Advanced Inspection

Parts are inspected using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for 3D dimensional verification, optical comparators and vision systems for 2D feature analysis, surface roughness testers (Ra/Rz), and calibrated gauges and custom fixtures.

Digital Traceability

Complete records are maintained throughout production. Material Test Reports (MTRs), Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports provide full traceability from raw material to delivered part.

04
05

Defect Prevention & Feedback Loop

The goal is preventing defects, not catching them late. DFM analysis and precise supplier matching reduce defect risk before manufacturing starts. Customer feedback on every order feeds directly into supplier performance evaluation.

Documentation

What ships with your parts.

Full traceability from raw material to delivered part — not just a packing slip.

First Article Inspection (FAI)

Dimensional verification of the first part against your drawing. Confirms the production setup is correct before the full batch runs.

Available on request

Certificate of Conformance (CoC)

Declares that parts conform to your specified requirements. Includes order details, material, process, and applicable standards met.

Standard with every order

Material Test Report (MTR)

Certifies the material used, including heat/lot number, chemical composition, and mechanical properties — traceable from mill to finished part.
